Ulriksdal Palace is a royal palace situated in the Ulriksdal neighborhood of Stockholm, Sweden. The palace was built in the 17th century and was initially known as Jakobsdal. It was built for the regent and later King Charles XI of Sweden as his summer residence. The palace was later renovated in the 18th century by King Adolf Frederick and again in the 19th century by King Oscar I.
The palace is surrounded by a large park with several gardens, fountains, and sculptures. The park also includes a Chinese Pavilion built in the 18th century by King Adolf Frederick for his queen, Lovisa Ulrika. The palace has been used for various purposes over the years, including as an orphanage, military hospital, and a museum. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction and is sometimes used by the Swedish royal family for official events and receptions.
